After the sun sets, the city offers acclaimed performing arts, sporting events, amazing dining and family activities.

Beware of external (pirate) hotel booking agencies!

The SSSA Annual Conference official hotel is the Sonesta Rittenhouse Square, and the official and only SSSA-endorsed means to book accommodations is through the link above.

SSSA does not outsource its hotel reservations. However, companies or individuals are sending phishing emails to some SSSA members and SSSA Annual Conference attendees claiming to be able to book their accommodations. This is a common—albeit unwanted—occurrence for conferences and trade shows. No third-party company is authorized to arrange hotel accommodations for our events, nor is SSSA in any way generating these messages.

If you receive an email offering to book your hotel accommodations for the SSSA Annual Conference, please do not respond to it. By responding–even with a request to unsubscribe–you confirm that your email address is valid, which may increase the likelihood that you’ll be contacted again.

If you have any questions, please contact us at info@sotossyndrome.org.

Travel Information

Philadelphia International Airport (PHL), the closet major airport serving the Philadelphia metropolitan area, is a large hub airport supporting twenty-seven airlines, including all major domestic carriers, and offers nearly 323 daily departures to more than 120 destinations worldwide. The airport is located seven miles from Philadelphia and easily accessible to Center City Philadelphia. Transportation options are shuttles, UBER and LYFT, taxi service, and trains to center City.

If you’re traveling by train, the nearest AMTRAK station is Philadelphia’s 30th Street station, which is approximately 0.7 mile from the Sonesta.

When travelling to the hotel from the airport, we recommend taking the SEPTA (Southeastern Pennsylvania Public Transportation Authority) Airport line to Center City. If you arrive by personal or rental car, self-parking at the hotel can charge as much as $70/night.

How to Take the Train to the Hotel

From Baggage Claim follow the signs for Center City Trains on the second floor. SEPTA trains depart from all terminals, with train departures approximately every 30 minutes. From the airport there will be four stops to the Suburban Station, approximately 25 minutes. The Suburban Station is less than two blocks from the Sonesta hotel.
